Lloyd averaged an astonishing 30.2 points and 15 rebounds per game as a junior, 26.3 points as a senior, and was a two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year.

Known as “Black Magic” from his days at Overbrook High School in Philadelphia, Lloyd’s journey to Des Moines was nothing short of remarkable. He brought a unique blend of skill, heart, and showmanship that made every Drake game a must-see event. His dazzling performances and relentless drive inspired teammates and fans alike, cementing his place as one of the greatest ever to wear a Bulldogs jersey.

After Drake, Lloyd’s talents took him to the NBA, where he played seven seasons, most notably with the Houston Rockets.
