Iowa Time Machine ⏰: On March 8, 1997, legendary Hawkeye hooper Andre Woolridge finished out the regular season as the first player in Big 10 history to lead the league in scoring and assists during the same season.

A standout star for Omaha Benson High School, Woolridge spent his freshman season at Nebraska. Transferring to play for Dr. Tom Davis and the Hawkeyes, he sat out the next year before gaining status as a three-year starter at Iowa.

Woolridge saw steady progress over the next two seasons and earned distinction as a first-team All-Big Ten performer after averaging 13.1 points and 6.0 assists as a junior while helping the Hawks reach the NCAA tournament. During his senior season, Woolridge took his production to another level, finishing the season with 20.2 points per game and 6.0 assists.

Woolridge led the Hawks in scoring in 23 games during his final season while helping the team to another NCAA tournament appearance.
